Mike Bunton

About Mike

Mike is a Master Mariner in our London office and forms part of our shipping emergency response team. Mike primarily deals with marine casualties, including collisions, groundings, fires, explosions, marine pollution, loss of stability, cargo claims and salvage. He is also part of the HFW yachts crisis management team.

Prior to joining HFW, Mike has 16 years experience in the Shipping industry. He spent 13 years seagoing in a range of passenger and cargo vessels before moving into the Offshore Energy sector, working on pipelay and subsea construction vessels including command. Mike has experience of electronic navigation, ECDIS, Dynamic positioning, sailing yachts including large sail training vessels, as well as executing complex offshore operations.
