About Remi

Remi is an associate in the Shipping Litigation team in London. He has experience in Admiralty and Crisis Management, as well as in dry shipping matters. He has acted for owners, charterers, P&I clubs, ship managers, and war risk insurers on disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, insurance policies, collisions, and salvage. He has also worked on various disputes as part of the Complex Environments team on issues arising out of Ukraine and the Red Sea. The majority of Remi’s work involves multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration.

As part of his training, Remi spent time in the Commodities department, where he was involved in multiple charterparty and sale of goods disputes. He also spent time in the firm’s Ship Finance team, assisting with the distressed asset sales of vessels declared as constructive total losses following the war in Ukraine. Remi also undertook a six-month international secondment to the HFW Singapore office, where he was involved in a wide range of shipping disputes.

Remi is qualified in England and Wales.
